- After being selected in round 5 with the 162nd pick overall of this past weekend's NFL Draft, rookie RB Jeremy McNichols has drawn praise from head coach Dirk Koetter as a “three-down guy” and a “really good pass blocker.”
- With Doug Martin facing a three-game suspension, McNichols will face competition from Jacquizz Rodgers, Charles Sims and Peyton Barber to make the opening day roster.
- McNichols was PFF’s 11th ranked running back in the 2017 draft class while ranking eighth in yards per route run with 1.88 YPRR. He also ranked 12th in the class in percentage of not tackled on first contact at 34.8 percent.
