- Chicago Bears QB Mike Glennon had his second consecutive poor outing this preseason, but at least had the fortune of seeing Mitch Trubisky struggle to match his stellar debut performance as he turned out with the third team this time. Trubisky’s PFF grade against the Cardinals was 65.0 toiling with the reserves, after his impressive 85.0 grade a week ago for his debut.
- Glennon has now backed up a PFF grade of 49.2 against Denver with one of 40.4 against the Cardinals. Glennon’s first two passes of the game were screens, and his ball placement was inaccurate all game long, even on some passes that his receivers were able to bring in despite it.
- Glennon’s preseason to date has been miserable, and with Trubisky a No. 2 overall pick, his seat will be increasingly warm for every outing he struggles in. Trubisky for his part at least needs the supporting cast of the second team to be put in the best situation to showcase his skills.
