- Manish Mehta of the New York Daily News reports that New York Jets third round draft pick, wide receiver ArDarius Stewart, has recently undergone surgeries on both his thumb and groin. Despite this, he is expected to be ready for the start of training camp.
- The Jets lost their leading receiver in snaps in 2016 in Brandon Marshall this offseason, and recently released Eric Decker who had played all but three of the Jets offensive snaps before injury ended his season in Week 3.
- In his final season at Alabama, Stewart forced 18 missed tackles and averaged 10.7 yards after the catch on 77 receptions. His missed tackles forced on receptions was tied for the most in the SEC in 2016, while his yards after the catch average ranked second in the conference.
