Hey there football fans! Here are five things from yesterday that you need to know to start your Wednesdays.

  1. PFF unveiled the Foundation Draft! 32 PFFers got together to answer a simple question: If you were starting a team from scratch today, who would you use? Yesterday was the debut of the first round. It was quarterback central, as it should be. There are very few good or exciting prospects left in the quarterback pool, with even a few college players selected.
  2. PFF's 2018 Prospect Preview series continued with Maurice Hurst. He enters the 2017 season as one of the top interior defenders in college football. His production over the last two years combined with his opportunity to see more playing time with 2016 draftee departures indicate a big year ahead for Hurst.
  3. Adrian Peterson wants to surpass the 500-receiving-yard mark this season. He believes that is an achievable goal now that he is with the Saints. It remains a tall order for Peterson however, with Mark Ingram and Alvin Kamara due to receive snaps, not to mention that Peterson has never reached the 500 receiving yard mark in his career.
  4. Patrick Thorman answered some pressing fantasy questions about the AFC East. Some teams in that division are ripe with fantasy options, but some are not. It looks like it is going to be a tough year for the Jets.
  5. Do the Patriots have a “type” at tight end? PFF's Daniel Kelley examined the last four second-option tight ends the Patriots have utilized to find a pattern, and found only one. The Patriots don't seem to look for anything specific in their second tight ends, except they seem to look for guys that at are a low point in their value. However, there is good news for Dwayne Allen, as every other tight end increased their touchdown count in their year with the Patriots.
Safety worth way more than 2 points. Help protect your family with fast, free will.
