Hey there football fans, here are five things from yesterday that you need to know to start off your Tuesdays:
- PFF's Sam Monson brought you every team's best player, and the young player on the team looking to dethrone them. Players trying to take the title of best player on the team from quarterbacks are going to have a tough time ahead of them. Some, like Los Angeles' Joey Bosa, may go wire to wire as the team's best player.
- Alshon Jeffery is not wasting any time building rapport with Carson Wentz. Jeffery is in North Dakota to work with Wentz, as are a few other Eagles wide receivers. Jeffery has had an up-and-down career thus far, sandwiching one year of elite grading in between two years of average grading.
- Dion Lewis' roster spot could be jeopardy. With two new running back editions to the team, the Patriots might not have a spot for Dion Lewis. His 2016 and 2015 were both interrupted with injury, and new Patriots Mike Gillislee and Rex Burkhead both had solid years in 2016.
- Demaryius Thomas believes he's fully recovered from his hip injury. The talented wide receiver believes that he's been dealing with the injury for two years, but now it's past him. Thomas' career was on an upward trajectory, as he improved his PFF overall grade every year until 2015, when it fell from 87.2 in the year previous down to 74.4.
- Who are some sneaky contenders to lead their positions in touchdowns? Brandon Marianne Lee brought you a list of players who have a chance to lead their positions in touchdown scoring, a key factor in fantasy football. After scoring eight times in Buffalo last year and now filling in for the departed LeGarrette Blount (18 touchdowns last year), Mike Gillislee is in a good position to find the endzone a lot this year.
