Hey there football aficionados! Here are five things you need to know to start off your Tuesday:
- Duane Brown is expected to hold out from training camp. The Houston Texans left tackle is trying to get his deal restructured. Brown is a consistently well-graded member of that offense and will be a key piece in protecting whomever the Texans start at quarterback.
- The Browns sign Jabrill Peppers to a four-year contract. The Cleveland Browns have now signed their entire draft class. Peppers is going to have to learn to play the run from farther away from the line of scrimmage, as his percentage of run-defending plays where he was lined up eight yards or closer to the line of scrimmage was 20 points higher than the NFL average for run-defending box safeties.
- DeAndre Hopkins is expected to report to camp on time. The Texans star wide receiver is not expected to repeat last year's one day hold out. The Texans seem intent on getting an extension done for Hopkins, who should help out his signal caller in 2017.
- Pressing fantasy questions from the AFC South were answered! Patrick Thorman continued this series with answers to questions for every team in the AFC South. The most interesting answer had to do with whether Allen Robinson is being overdrafted.
- PFF revealed more of the fantasy football team power rankings! Yesterday featured teams 16 through 13. Finally ascending to the top half of the league, the west (both AFC and NFC) were well represented in these four teams.
