Hey there football fans! Here are five things from yesterday that you need to know to start off your Thursdays:

CB Tramaine Brock signed with the Seahawks. The Seahawks signed the former 49er after meeting with him yesterday, and a week after domestic violence charges against him were dropped.

Over the past two seasons, Brock has been a bright spot on a maligned 49ers defense and thus played 2,195 snaps during that time. His 2016 grade of 81.7 ranked 21st out of 110 qualifying cornerbacks. In 2016, Brock allowed a catch rate of just 50.0 percent, the fourth lowest mark among all cornerbacks.

Seattle is known for committing their corners to defending the run and now with the addition of Brock they possess four of the top six cornerback leaders from 2016 in run stops. Brock ranked fourth among cornerbacks with eight.

Jaron Brown is listed as the Cardinals No. 2 wide receiver. Their former No. 2 reciever, John Brown, has been nursing a quad injury.

Jaron Brown played just 191 snaps in 2016 before tearing his ACL in October but has been all systems go in camp thus far. Over his first four years in the league, Brown has played 858 total snaps (21.3 percent).

For his career, Jaron Brown has a career catch percentage of 58.9. He has five drops on 88 catchable targets, giving him a drop rate of 5.68.  The drop rate league average was 7.46 for the 2016 season.

Mike Glennon is still favored to be the Bears starting quarterback. This comes after a poor performance in his first preseason game.

In the preseason opener, Glennon, along with the entire Bears starting offense, struggled. Playing 22 total snaps, he earned an overall grade of just 49.1, which ranked 54th out of 67 qualifying quarterbacks for the week.

Trubisky on the other hand performed well, going against mostly Denver’s second- and third-team defense. He led all quarterbacks with an overall grade of 85.1. On 25 pass attempts, Trubisky had an adjusted completion percentage of 90.9.

Cameron Jordan is having a strong training camp for the Saints. According to reports, he's “flashing more” than any other player on the team.

Jordan was one of five edge defenders to rank in the top 10 in both pass-rushing grade (91.9 – second-best) and run-defense grade (87.5 – eighth) in 2016.

Over the last two seasons, Jordan’s 104 quarterback hurries ranks fourth among all edge defenders in the league. He has recorded 46 run stops since 2015 as well, which has evaluated his game into a more complete level overall. Still just 28 years old, Jordan is in the prime of his career and could be even better in 2017.

LB Jaylon Smith is expected to make his NFL debut this Saturday. After a serious knee injury in college and missing a year of time in the NFL, Smith is expected to play against the Colts.

Smith was a top PFF prospect of the 2016 draft class before suffering his catastrophic knee injury. He was one of the most productive FBS players on the field during the 2015 season, earning an 89.3 overall grade and ranking third among 4-3 outside linebackers.

In 2015 Smith displayed his versatility as he was effective defending the run, rushing the passer, and in coverage. Among Power 5 4-3 outside linebackers, Smith ranked ninth in run-stop percentage (9.5 percent), eighth in pass-rush productivity (19.2), and 15th in yards per cover snap (0.59).
