Hey football fans, here are five things you need to know from Friday:

  1. Are the Dallas Cowboys primed for a run at the Super Bowl? No team had more members make the PFF 50, three of whom comprise what is the NFL's most talented offensive line. With second-year players coming into their own at both running back and quarterback, the Cowboys have a solid base towards a postseason run.
  2. Calais Campbell believes the Jaguars defensive line is loaded. Between signing Campbell and drafting Dante Fowler and Yannick Ngakoue, the Jaguars have certainly been addressing the position group in recent years and the group is primed to be a force in the coming season.
  3. Brandin Cooks will have a varied role for the Patriots. The reports out of OTAs are that he's lining up all over the field. Cooks has had varied success across the board at the different receiving positions, something that the Patriots were surely aware of before trading a first-round pick for him.
  4. The Ravens and Jets have discussed an Eric Decker trade. Decker had an injury-marred 2016 season, but before that he was the Jets most productive wide receiver. The Ravens could be looking for a player to help fill the void by the retiring Steve Smith Sr.
  5. PFF looked at what quarterback success means for fantasy. Does the rise in quarterback production across the league make them more expendable in fantasy, or does the top of the pack still separate themselves enough to demand top draft spots? And what about the value of consistency? Fantasy writer Dan Clasgens takes a look at these questions and more.
