- The 49ers have signed veteran defensive tackle Sen’Derrick Marks to a one-year deal as reported by Matt Barrows of the Sacramento Bee. Marks is familiar with new defensive coordinator Robert Saleh’s scheme, both were with the Jaguars the past three seasons.
- After tearing his ACL in the final game of his career-best year in 2014, his grade has dropped each year since. He earned an overall grade of 80.4 in 2014, the 32nd ranked interior defender in the league. His 38 pressures ranked ninth and 7.5 pass rush productivity ranked tied for 11th among defensive tackles that year. Marks then recorded a grade of 49.9 in 2016, ranking 89th among interior defenders.
- Marks contributed in both the run and pass game last season. His 22 pressures were second highest by a defensive tackle on Jacksonville and his 10 run stops were third.
