The 2018 season was a down year for the guard position. This past year was the first since 2006 that not a single guard earned an “Elite” (90.0 or higher) overall grade. In a season where a guard failed to reach even 83.0 overall, it was also the first year that John Miller of the Buffalo Bills earned a borderline top-25 grade with a 64.3.

At the young age of 25 until early next season, Miller has been the Bills’ starting right guard in three of his four seasons with the team. But he has also allowed at least 30 total pressures in each year he started five or more games.
