2018 NFL Draft team breakdown: Washington Redskins

The Washington Redskins have had a big offseason, seeing starting QB Kirk Cousins depart via free agency, and bringing in Alex Smith via trade to replace him. They followed up free agency with a strong draft, and while we didn’t love the value of a run-stuffer in Da’Ron Payne from Alabama in Round 1, they did find tremendous value as the draft went on, all the way though to Mr. Irrelevant in SMU’s Trey Quinn at wide receiver. They also added running back Derrius Guice, halting his slide in the second round, and if he finds the form he displayed in 2016, before injuries slowed him down last year, he could be a three-down steal in Washington.

Key win: Landing cornerback Greg Stroman in the seventh round could be a steal for the Redskins. He allowed just 12 catches all season for Virginia Tech.
