The New York Jets made a big move earlier this offseason when they traded their first-round pick, two second-round picks and 2019's first-round pick to jump up three spots in the 2018 NFL Draft. While it was seen as a risk at the time (due to the Jets not knowing what the two teams ahead of them would do), it ultimately worked out as they were able to land who they hope is their future franchise quarterback in USC QB Sam Darnold.
Despite the trade, the Jets were still able to grab five other rookies, including a trio of picks in the sixth round. One of those picks, CB Parry Nickerson from Tulane, could be a big steal as he had fantastic production for three straight seasons of college football. Below is a breakdown of each pick with an eye towards schematic fit and future roles with New York.
