- New York Giants wide receiver Odell Beckham sustained an ankle sprain during their pre-season match up against the Cleveland Browns according to the clubs Twitter feed. A later tweet also revealed that an x-ray on the ankle has come back negative.
- Since entering the league in 2014 Beckham has been a considerable threat for the Giants in the passing game with his 2014 PFF overall grade of 93.0 ranking best among wide receivers.
- Beckham has proven to be very efficient throughout his career in terms of yards per route run (taking into account receiving yards and the number of snaps a player went into a pattern). His best year came in 2014 where his yards per route run of 2.75 ranked as the 4th highest for wide receivers in the league.
- In 2016 Beckham dropped 8 catches from 109 catchable passes equating to a PFF drop rate (drops from catchable passes) of 7.34, the worst mark of his career. In his first two seasons in the league he dropped just 6 catches from 193 catchable passes combined.
