The Las Vegas Raiders turned a new page during the week and acted like it in their first game under new management, winning 30-6 against the New York Giants.

Offensive spotlight: Giants quarterback Daniel Jones went down early in the game with a knee injury, feared to be a torn ACL, and Tommy DeVito again took over under center. Saquon Barkley carried the ball 16 times for 90 yards, but the game script got away from the Giants and they needed the passing game to chase it. DeVito averaged 9.5 yards per attempt, and one of his interceptions should have been a completed pass, but he was sacked five times and wasn’t able to keep the offense moving.

Defensive spotlight: Maxx Crosby was his usual disruptive self, but going against the Giants' offense, several other Raiders were also significant factors in bringing pressure. John Jenkins recorded a 33.3% pass-rush win rate, pending review, and Bilal Nichols was also north of 19% with several pressures to his name. Four separate Raiders tallied at least four pressures, pending grade review.

Rookie spotlight: Raiders quarterback Aidan O’Connell was named the starter along with the other sweeping changes in Las Vegas, and he was largely solid against the Giants and their blitz-happy defense. The Giants didn’t blitz him as much as they typically do, and O’Connell was able to average 8.4 yards per attempt. He finished with a 75.0% adjusted completion rate and an 8.3-yard average depth of target. Critically, he didn’t put the ball in harm’s way or take a lot of sacks (or, any) the way he did in his previous start.
