The Green Bay Packers failed to complete their comeback and fell to the Denver Broncos by a score of 19-17 in Week 7.
Offensive spotlight: Russell Wilson was once again solid and, for a change, his defense did enough that he was able to come away with a win at the end of it. Wilson passed for only 6.7 yards per attempt, but his adjusted completion rate came out to 87.5%. He had a couple of nice passes downfield and a 21-yard scamper on the ground.
Defensive spotlight: Packers edge rusher Rashan Gary continues to look like one of the best defensive players in the game as he works his way back to full force after injury last year. Gary is now close to a full workload, playing two fewer defensive snaps than Preston Smith in this game. Gary finished the contest with an absurd pass-rush win rate of 40.0%, pending review, and has been leading the league in that area all season.
Rookie spotlight: Six different rookie skill position players saw playing time for the Packers in this game, and they combined to make some of the biggest plays for the team in a losing effort. Receiver Jayden Reed caught a touchdown on a deflected pass off a drop from Romeo Doubs, while Luke Musgrave’s four targets and three catches tied for the team lead.
