The Baltimore Ravens outlasted the Tennessee Titans, 24-16, in London in Week 6.
Field goals dominated the early going, and the Ravens' offense finally found the end zone when Lamar Jackson connected with Zay Flowers for the rookie’s first career touchdown before a fourth Justin Tucker field goal to give them an 18-3 lead at the half.
A long Derrick Henry run sparked the Titans' offense early in the second half, but they were forced to settle for a second field goal from Nick Folk. They did find the end zone soon after, though, with Henry scoring from 15 yards out after a Jackson interception.
The Ravens struck first in the fourth quarter, with Justin Tucker’s fifth field goal of the day giving them a 21-13 lead before his sixth extended their lead to 24-13 with just over four minutes left in the game. The Titans kicked a field goal with under a minute to go to make it 24-16 — the final score.
Offensive spotlight: The Ravens' offense started well between the 20-yard lines, but they couldn’t finish their early drives and settled for field goals until the Flowers touchdown in the second quarter. The passing offense started hot but faded in the second half, with Jackson going 21-of-30 for 223 yards with a touchdown and an interception. Jackson ran the ball well, picking up 63 yards on 12 carries.
Malik Willis replaced an injured Ryan Tannehill, who took a couple of big hits in the game and left on a cart in the fourth quarter. Willis went 4-of-5 for 74 yards and rushed for 17 yards. Derrick Henry accounted for 113 total yards and two forced missed tackles.
Defensive spotlight: Costly penalties hurt the Ravens' defense throughout the game, highlighted by safety Kyle Hamilton being ejected on the Titans' first touchdown drive. They were forced to play Brandon Stephens at safety after Marcus Williams went off injured, while backup safety Geno Stone continued to impress and had an interception. Both defensive tackle Justin Madubuike and edge defender Jadeveon Clowney finished the game with a pair of sacks, while Patrick Queen and Kyle Van Noy notched one each.
Sean Murphy-Bunting intercepted Jackson when the Ravens' signal caller overthrew wide receiver Rashod Bateman. Overall, the Titans' defense kept them in the game by holding the Ravens to field goals when they got close to the end zone, save for Flowers' score.
Rookie spotlight: Zay Flowers continues to be the key receiver in a more expansive Ravens passing game. The rookie saw eight targets, turning them into 50 yards and a touchdown on six receptions. He also took a carry and continued to be used as a decoy in Baltimore's running game.
Left guard Peter Skoronski was solid for the Titans and had some nice blocks in the running game. Tyjae Spears broke off a long catch-and-run late in the game, finishing the game with 63 rushing and receiving yards.
