The Jacksonville Jaguars outgained the Houston Texans by a considerable margin in Week 5, but it didn't matter in the end, as the Texans rode rookie running back Dameon Pierce to their first win of the season.
Offensive spotlight: Dameon Pierce ran for 99 yards — and 87 yards after contact — across 26 rush attempts. He found the end zone once, moved the chains five more times and forced an incredible 13 tackles with the ball in his hands.
Defensive spotlight: Texans CB Desmond King II allowed five catches from eight targets for 80 yards but came down with an interception to allow a 56.3 passer rating into his coverage.
Rookie spotlight: First overall pick Travon Walker recorded four solo tackles and three defensive stops against the run, though he did only manage one hurry from 17 pass-rush snaps.
Offensive line spotlight: The Jags offensive line did its part today, allowing 10 pressures — and no sacks — across 50 pass-blocking snaps.
