On the first of two Monday night games in Week 2, the New Orleans Saints defeated the Carolina Panthers 20-17. The Saints move to 2-0 on the season with the win, while the Panthers drop to 0-2 with the loss.

Olave finished the game with 86 yards on six catches from 11 targets.
Defensive spotlight: Carolina Panthers linebacker Frankie Luvu was playing some of his best football on Monday Night (not that any of that is out of the ordinary, at this point).

He finished the game with nine tackles, two sacks and three tackles for loss.
Rookie spotlight: Carolina Panthers‘ rookie No. 1 overall pick Bryce Young made his home debut tonight. He finished the game 22-for-33 for 153 passing yards, one passing touchdown and no interceptions. He also added 34 yards on the ground, 26 coming on one run.
