The Atlanta Falcons stunned the Green Bay Packers with a second-half comeback to open the season 2-0, a late field goal pushing them to a 25-24 win.

The Falcons struck first, with a 24-yard Younghoe Koo field goal giving them a 3-0 lead in the first quarter before Jordan Love found Jayden Reed for a nine-yard score early in the second quarter. An Anders Carlson field goal extended the Packers' lead before Desmond Ridder and Drake London connected for a touchdown with 16 seconds left in the first half.

It was the Packers who dominated in the third quarter, with Jordan Love throwing two more touchdown passes, going to Dontayvion Wicks and Jayden Reed again, but Atlanta scored on a six-yard Desmond Ridder run to reduce the deficit to 24-19 and then made it 24-22 on another field goal by Koo. He finished another drive by the Falcons with less than a minute remaining to put them up 25-24 before four straight incompletions by Love sealed the game for the Falcons.

Offensive spotlight: Jordan Love was solid again for the Packers for much of the game, going 14-of-25 for 151 yards with three touchdowns and no interceptions. He averaged 6.0 yards per attempt and added 23 yards on the ground. Through two weeks, Love has now thrown six touchdowns and no interceptions despite dealing with injuries to his top receivers early in the year. However, he was unable to mount a game-winning drive in this one.

Desmond Ridder was efficient on the other side, going 19-of-32 for 237 yards and a touchdown, though he did throw the first interception of his NFL career. He added 39 yards as a runner as part of a dominant Atlanta ground attack.

Defensive spotlight: Rasul Douglas picked off Desmond Ridder for the first time in the young quarterback's career, adding to an impressive season so far for the former West Virginia Mountaineer. Rookie Lukas Van Ness, who had five pressures a week ago, flashed again in this game and had a tackle for loss to his name.

For Atlanta, A.J. Terrell made some plays on the ball, forcing two pass breakups. Linebacker Kaden Elliss had six solo tackles including a tackle for loss, and a sack.

Rookie spotlight: Bijan Robinson saw plenty of touches in this one, recording 19 carries and five targets. He turned those targets into four receptions for 48 yards and rushed for 124 yards on the day. Just two games into his NFL career, Robinson is must-watch TV.

Rookie receiver Jayden Reed was the story for the Packers, with the Michigan State standout finding the end zone twice on a day when he turned eight targets into four receptions for 37 yards.
