The Dallas Cowboys didn't have much to play for, and it showed. In the end, the Washington Commanders coasted to a comfortable 26-6 victory over their division rivals in Week 18.

The Cowboys finish with a 12-5 record and hold the No. 5 seed in the NFC. They head to Tampa next weekend for a wild-card game against Tom Brady and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

The Commanders finish what could possibly be the final season of the Daniel Snyder era with an 8-8-1 record and a season-finale win over Dallas.

Offensive spotlight: The Commanders may just have something in rookie wideout Jahan Dotson. The Penn State product caught three of his four targets for 72 yards and three first downs on Sunday, with 49 of his yards coming after the catch.

Defensive spotlight: Cornerback Kendall Fuller made up for an early dropped interception with a pick-six that set the tone for the rest of the game. Per PFF's first-run analysis, Fuller was targeted seven times in coverage, but he didn't allow a single catch.

Rookie spotlight: Washington quarterback Sam Howell played well in his first NFL start, completing 11 of his 19 pass attempts for 169 yards, one touchdown and one interception. He threw the ball 9.1 yards down the field on average and went 1-of-2 for 52 yards on 20-plus-yard passes.

The North Carolina product also produced 35 yards and a score on the ground to cap off an all-around solid performance.

Offensive line spotlight: Despite the result, the Cowboys offensive line held up exceptionally well. The Dallas front five allowed just six pressures — and no sacks or hits —  from 42 passing plays on first review.
