NFL Week 16 Game Recap: Pittsburgh Steelers 34, Cincinnati Bengals 11

The Pittsburgh Steelers got the festive season off to an impressive start with a comfortable 34-11 victory over the Cincinnati Bengals.

Offensive spotlight: Mason Rudolph helped provide a spark to the Steelers offense and especially found joy in targeting George Pickens throughout the game. Pickens set out his stall with an 86-yard house call early in the game on a slant, but Rudolph was a bigger part of some of his later completions. Pickens caught four passes for 195 yards and two scores.

Defensive spotlight: Steelers edge rushers T.J. Watt and Alex Highsmith each made multiple impactful plays in the game. Watt produced a strip-sack as part of his pass-rushing production, and Highsmith was able to add an outstanding interception to his work up front. The turnovers they created helped avert any potential Bengals comeback.

Rookie spotlight: With no Ja’Marr Chase, fifth-round rookie Andrei Iosivas played a much bigger role in the offense but couldn’t quite make the impact he was close to making. He caught four passes for 38 yards and three first downs, but among the incompletions was a spectacular sideline grab ruled out of bounds by a single frame of tape and an interception from Browning on a pass that was there to be had.
