The New Orleans Saints took down the New York Giants, 24-6, to move to 7-7 on the year.

The Giants opened the scoring on a 56-yard field goal from Randy Bullock, and the Saints closed out the first quarter with a seven-yard touchdown pass from Derek Carr to Keith Kirkwood.

Following an injury to Bullock, Giants punter Jamie Gillan stepped up to kick a 40-yard field goal to make it 7-6 at halftime.

The Saints were first to strike in the second half, with Derek Carr finding Juwan Johnson for a 23-yard touchdown before a 50-yard field goal from Blake Grupe put them up 17-6 near the end of the third quarter.

Carr tossed his third touchdown to tight end Jimmy Graham to give the Saints a 24-6 lead early in the fourth quarter and wrap up scoring for the day.

Offensive spotlight: Derek Carr put together an efficient day, going 23-of-28 for 218 yards and three touchdowns. Alvin Kamara was both the top receiver and rusher in the game for the Saints, rushing for 66 yards on 16 carries and picking up 44 yards on five receptions.

Defensive spotlight: Tanoh Kpassagnon was the Saints' most impressive defensive player on the stat sheet, racking up two and a half sacks. Linebacker Demario Davis continued his impressive season with 10 tackles, one of which was a tackle for loss, and a sack.

Rookie spotlight: Tommy DeVito couldn’t muster up any magic for the Giants, finishing the game 20-of-34 for 177 yards. He averaged just 5.2 yards per attempt. His 36 rushing yards on four carries made him the Giants’ top rusher on the day, but that’s more of a knock on the Giants' overall rushing attack than it is on DeVito’s rushing ability.
