NFL Week 15 Game Recap: Houston Texans 19, Tennessee Titans 16

The Houston Texans left it late, but they emerged from overtime with a 19-16 victory over the Tennessee Titans in the battle for the Oilers heritage.

Offensive spotlight: Case Keenum got the start for the Houston Texans at quarterback with rookie C.J. Stroud in the concussion protocol, and it was very much a mixed bag for the veteran. He completed 23 of his 36 passes for 229 yards with one touchdown and an interception. Keenum also had other passes that were lucky not to be picked off, and a completion that set up a score was also more likely to be picked off than caught by its intended receiver.

Defensive spotlight: Houston’s pass rush greatly impacted the game, constantly putting Will Levis under pressure before he eventually got injured and left the game in overtime. Jonathan Greenard led the team in total pressures and had the best pass-rush win rate on the Texans defense. Maliek Collins also made big plays in critical moments, producing two sacks, one of which involved destroying rookie guard Peter Skoronski.

Rookie spotlight: Titans quarterback Will Levis left the game late with a leg injury that was bad enough the broadcast refused to show a replay of it. Levis had been having a solid game but was under a constant barrage of pressure behind a porous offensive line. He averaged 7.7 yards per attempt despite an aggressive 14.9-yard average depth of target.
