In a battle of two teams looking to bolster their case for division titles, the Cincinnati Bengals defeated the Tampa Bay Buccaneers 34-23.
The win brings the Bengals to 9-5 on the season and puts them atop the AFC North. The Buccaneers drop to 6-8 but are still in first place in the NFC South.
Offensive spotlight: It was a slow burn, but Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow came alive in the second half to lead and complete Cincinnati’s comeback win. The quarterback went 27-for-39 for 200 passing yards and four passing touchdowns and finished the game with a 79% adjusted completion percentage.
Defensive spotlight: Buccaneers cornerback Carlton Davis was lined up with all-pro receiver Ja’Marr Chase in this game, and Davis was up to the challenge. He finished the game with a 76.2 grade in coverage having recorded an interception and three forced incompletions.
Rookie spotlight: Bucs rookie running back Rachaad White finished the game with 38 rushing yards on 11 carries. He recorded one missed tackle forced and gained 22 yards after contact.
Offensive line spotlight: Buccaneers offensive lineman Nick Leverett was the highest-graded player on the day with an elite 90.3 grade. This came from an 88.8 run-blocking grade and an 85.5 pass-blocking grade. He also didn’t allow a sack the entire game.
