NFL Week 14 Game Recap: Denver Broncos 24, Los Angeles Chargers 7

Led by a stout defense, the Denver Broncos secured a comfortable 24-7 victory over the Los Angeles Chargers on the road in Week 14.

Offensive spotlight: Russell Wilson continued his efficient performance this season, completing 21 of his 33 passing attempts for 224 yards. He also made multiple big throws down the field that Jerry Jeudy failed to come up with. Wilson averaged 6.8 yards per attempt, but he recorded just an 86.2% adjusted completion rate.

Defensive spotlight: Denver’s pass rush kept showing up at critical moments and was close to even bigger plays were it not for the officials ruling a scoop-and-score fumble as an incomplete pass. Eight different Broncos registered pressure for the defense, including players at all three levels.

Rookie spotlight: Struggling Chargers first-round receiver Quentin Johnston had arguably the best game of his career, and it came with Easton Stick trying to lead a comeback after Justin Herbert suffered a finger injury that knocked him out of the game. Johnston caught three of the four passes thrown his way for 91 yards as the Chargers finally unlocked his deep threat. The average depth of his targets was 19.3 yards downfield.
