The Houston Texans held on to take down the Denver Broncos, 22-17, at home in Week 13, moving to 7-5.

A pair of Matt Ammendola field goals and a three-yard touchdown run from Dameon Pierce gave the Texans a 13-0, and a Will Lutz 34-yard field goal made it 13-3 at halftime.

Ammendola pushed the Texans' edge to 16-3 with a 38-yard field goal midway through the third quarter, but the Broncos finally found the endzone in reply, with Russell Wilson hitting Courtland Sutton for a 45-yard score.

The Texans responded with C.J. Stroud finding Nico Collins in the back of the endzone for a three-yard touchdown, but the Broncos came right back to score again.

That was the final score in the game, though, as Jimmie Ward picked off Russell Wilson on the Broncos' attempted game-winning drive.

Offensive spotlight: Nico Collins had a monster day for the Texans. He saw 12 targets, turning them into nine catches for 191 yards and a touchdown. The Texans' offense continued to manufacture big plays, with both Collins and tight end Brevin Jordan averaging more than 20 yards per catch in the game.

Defensive spotlight: Top-five picks from the past two drafts combined for a big turnover for the Texans late in the third quarter. Will Anderson Jr., the third overall selection in the 2023 NFL Draft, tipped a Russell Wilson pass before Derek Stingley Jr. picked it off to make it three games in a row with an interception.

Stingley recorded a second interception in the fourth quarter, making a nice play to undercut a throw from Wilson to Sutton.

Rookie spotlight: C.J. Stroud continues to look anything but a rookie. He appeared calm and composed all day, going 16-of-27 for 274 yards and a touchdown pass. He left the game to be checked for a head injury but returned quickly after being assessed in the blue tent.

Rookie wide receiver Tank Dell left the game with an injury, and NFL Network's Ian Rapoport reports that he suffered a fractured fibula and is heading to injured reserve.
