The holiday slate with three Thursday games was challenging, but Week 13 has its own obstacles with the Panthers, Browns, Packers and Titans all on bye. Fortunately, PFF’s exclusive player grades and research tools are available to help fantasy football managers navigate those hurdles and find the top fantasy football options in a must-win December slate.

Using those metrics and PFF’s fantasy football rankings, here are players to target and fade in Week 13.
Rankings are based on PPR scoring.
Target: Jalen Hurts, Philadelphia Eagles
PFF Consensus: QB5
Opponent: at New York Jets
After Sunday’s abysmal performance, it would be understandable if fantasy managers feel hesitant to rely on Hurts again. We’ll chalk it up to too much tryptophan, though: This was just the second time all season Hurts finished outside QB1 range, and the Jets present an awfully intriguing rebound.
Hurts is still third in fantasy points per dropback, sixth in aDOT and has a position-leading eight rushing touchdowns. That dual-threat skill set should have no problems carving up a Jets secondary that ranks 30th in PFF coverage grade.
New York also ranks 32nd in PFF rushing defense grade and has surrendered multiple touchdown passes to opposing passers in its last seven games. No need to overreact to one bad game — Hurts should bounce back with another stellar outing in Week 13.
Fade: Mac Jones, New England Patriots
PFF Consensus: QB23
Opponent: at Buffalo Bills
The Patriots have reeled off six consecutive wins, and Jones has been spectacular in his efficient game-manager role. However, four of those six wins have come against opponents at or under .500, and Monday’s AFC East showdown against the Bills will be a real challenge for the first-year signal-caller.
PFF’s No. 2 overall defense, Buffalo has a solid pass rush, ranks No. 1 in pass coverage and has allowed the fewest fantasy points per game to opposing quarterbacks. Jones also hasn’t played as well away from Gillette Stadium: His five lowest-scoring fantasy outings this season have all come on the road.
Monday Night Football will certainly be must-see TV for football fans, but fantasy football managers who continue to ride the hot hand and start Jones could be in for a rather stressful evening.
