NFL Week 12 Game Recap: Tennessee Titans 17, Carolina Panthers 10

The Tennessee Titans defeated the Carolina Panthers, 17-10, in Week 12 to move to 4-7 on the year.

The Titans opened the scoring late in the first quarter with a one-yard touchdown run from Derrick Henry. A 50-yard field goal from Eddy Piñeiro put the Panthers on the board midway through the second quarter.

Henry found the end zone again late in the second quarter, scoring from 10 yards out, before Nick Folk closed the first half with a 53-yard field goal.

Chuba Hubbard hit paydirt to cap off a drive that took almost half of the third quarter, but that was the only score of the second half.

Offensive spotlight: Neither offense really got going in this game, with both rookie quarterbacks struggling to make a big impact and both throwing for fewer than 200 yards. Titans running back Derrick Henry was the highlight, scoring a pair of touchdowns, but even his numbers weren’t eye-popping. He turned 18 carries into 76 yards.

Defensive spotlight: Arden Key forced a fumble on a sack of Bryce Young, while Denico Autry notched two sacks and Jeffrey Simmons tallied one. Simmons also made another pair of tackles for loss and recovered the fumble forced by Key.

Rookie spotlight: It was another uninspiring outing from 2023's first overall pick. Bryce Young went 18-of-31 for 194 yards and was sacked three times. It’s clear that he lacks the talent around him, but Young also hasn’t done anything to elevate Carolina's offense.
