NFL Week 12 Game Recap: Jacksonville Jaguars 24, Houston Texans 21

A 56-yard field goal attempt landing on the crossbar was all that separated the Jacksonville Jaguars and the Houston Texans in Week 12. Jacksonville moved to 8-3 with the 24-21 win.

Offensive spotlight: Both quarterbacks were impressive, with Trevor Lawrence eventually coming out on top against rookie C.J. Stroud. Both passers averaged more than 8.0 yards per attempt with average depths of target of at least 9.0 yards. Lawrence finished with a 73.0% adjusted completion rate and got the ball out of his hands quickly, averaging 2.3 seconds per dropback.

Defensive spotlight: Josh Allen was by far the most destructive pass-rusher in this game on either side of the ball and played a significant part in the Texans being unable to complete the late comeback. Allen had at least three more pressures than anybody else in the game, pending final grade reviews, and officially recorded 2.5 sacks by the end.

Rookie spotlight: Houston rookie receiver Tank Dell continues to look like an elite threat at the position, and possibly the best receiver from his draft class. He finished the game with five catches for 50 yards and a touchdown, but arguably his best play of the day was a downfield bomb negated by an illegal shift penalty.
