It was another quintessential New York Giants win. They ran the ball 47 times while passing just 17 times in one of the run-heaviest performances we’ve seen all season. It was a ball-control strategy that paid off in a 24-16 victory over the Houston Texans in Week 10.
Offensive spotlight: Call him a game manager if you must, but Daniel Jones has been executing his role to a “T” all season. He went 13-of-17 for 197 yards and two scores. Jones finished the game with a superb 88.7% adjusted completion percentage.
Defensive spotlight: The Giants' interior defensive line had about as dominant a game as you’ll see. Leonard Williams recorded four run stops in a lights-out performance against the run, and Dexter Lawrence racked up an absurd eight pressures — including two sacks. They set the tone all day, as the Giants kept the Texans out of the end zone for the first 36 minutes of the game.
Rookie spotlight: We saw more rookies in the game than maybe at any point so far this season. Twelve different first-year players handled at least 25 snaps in this one. Easily the highest graded of the bunch was Texans linebacker Christian Harris. He held up his end of the bargain in run defense while many others didn’t. He finished with three run stops to lead Texans linebackers and didn’t miss a tackle on 10 attempts.
Offensive line spotlight: In a game that featured arguably the two best left tackles in the NFL so far this season, both lived up to the hype. Andrew Thomas didn’t allow a single pressure on 23 pass-blocking snaps, while Laremy Tunsil stayed clean himself on 41 pass-blocking snaps. Neither was downgraded at any point in pass protection, either.
