The Los Angeles Rams lost Robert Woods for the season due to a torn ACL on the same day they officially signed fellow wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr., sources told ESPN’s Adam Schefter and Dianna Russini.

Woods tore his ACL on Friday during practice, according to ESPN. Woods finished practice and met with reporters before tests discovered the season-ending ACL tear.
The Rams play the San Francisco 49ers on “Monday Night Football.”
Beckham will need to quickly get up to speed in practice Saturday to play a significant role Monday.

The Rams are still left with receivers Beckham, Cooper Kupp, Van Jefferson, J.J. Koski and Ben Skowronek on their 53-man roster. They also have Landen Akers, Warren Jackson and Brandon Powell on the practice squad.
Los Angles also recently lost rookie wide receivers Tutu Atwell (shoulder) and Jacob Harris (knee) to season-ending injuries.

Woods caught 45 passes on 69 targets for 556 yards in nine games this season while earning a 75.7 overall PFF grade. Jefferson’s role will significantly increase until Beckham is fully comfortable in Los Angeles’ offense. He’s caught 27 passes for 433 yards with three touchdowns in his second NFL season with a 63.0 overall PFF grade.
Woods, Beckham and Jefferson were expected to rotate snaps outside with Kupp manning his usual slot role. Kupp, who has an 89.4 overall PFF grade, is the NFL’s leading receiver with 74 catches for 1,019 yards with 10 touchdowns.
