Cousins gets $35 million guaranteed as part of his new deal, NFL Media’s Tom Pelissero reported Sunday.
The #Vikings are signing Pro Bowl QB Kirk Cousins to a one-year, $35 million fully guaranteed extension that puts him under contract through 2023, per sources.
Cousins gets a raise to $40 million in 2022, $55 million payable by next March and a no-trade clause.

Cousins was viewed as a possibility for quarterback-needy teams around the NFL before this new deal. New Vikings head coach Kevin O’Connell and general manager Kwesi Adofo-Mensah elected to lock up their signal-caller for another season rather than dealing him, however.
The 33-year-old Viking earned a career-high 88.2 overall PFF grade in 2021 with Minnesota while completing 66.3% of his passes for 4,221 yards with 33 touchdowns and seven interceptions.
