The Tampa Bay Buccaneers handed the Baltimore Ravens their second straight preseason loss, 26-20.
The Ravens opened the scoring on a 24-yard touchdown pass from Josh Johnson to wide receiver Laquon Treadwell, with the Buccaneers immediately answering with a touchdown drive of their own.
Tampa Bay would lead 17-10 at halftime thanks to a six-yard touchdown pass from Kyle Trask to David Wells and both teams trading field goals.
The third quarter saw Chase McLaughlin and Justin Tucker make field goals, with McLaughlin extending the Buccaneers' lead to 10 points early in the fourth quarter.
The Ravens would reduce the lead to three on a drive where they ran the ball well, with Owen Wright finishing the drive from two yards out before the Buccaneers stretched the lead to six with another field goal from McLaughlin.
Baltimore had the opportunity for a game-winning drive, but the Buccaneers held on. Charles Snowden sacked Ravens quarterback Anthony Brown at the Tampa Bay 24-yard line to seal the game.

Offensive spotlight: Named the starting quarterback for the Buccaneers this week, Baker Mayfield went 6-of-6 for 43 yards and a touchdown pass to Chris Godwin on two drives. Backup Kyle Trask finished the game, and he looks comfortable as the team’s backup quarterback, going 19-of-31 for 192 yards and a touchdown.
Rookie Malaesala Aumavae-Laulu started and played most of the game at left guard, so it was fair to assume that John Simpson has indeed won the job. And head coach John Harbaugh confirmed as much after the game. Simpson played 70 snaps this preseason, earning an 82.7 PFF grade and allowing zero pressures from 44 pass-blocking snaps.

Defensive spotlight: Ravens 2022 fourth-round draft pick Jalyn Armour-Davis saw his first action of the preseason, with the majority of his snaps coming as an outside cornerback. Ar'Darius Washington started in the slot again, and unless the team’s starting slot cornerback is Arthur Maulet, who has yet to feature this preseason, or a player not already on the roster, it looks like he will be manning that spot in Week 1.
The Buccaneers' defensive backs were active in getting their hands on the ball in the game, with Kaevon Merriweather, Keenan Isaac and Dee Delaney all forcing pass breakups.
Rookie spotlight: Kyu Blu Kelly, a 2023 fifth-round draft pick by the Ravens, saw significant snaps on the night, most of which came as an outside cornerback. He was targeted five times, allowing a reception on three of them, including an 11-yard touchdown catch from Chris Godwin in the first quarter.
