The New York Jets came out on top of the New York Giants in a back-and-forth affair, closing out the preseason with a 31-27 win.
Offensive spotlight: Reportedly fighting for a roster spot and unhappy with his role on the team, Jets wide receiver Denzel Mims closed out the preseason with a bang. He caught seven of his eight targets for 102 yards and a score, with two being contested receptions.
Defensive spotlight: While third-year cornerback Javelin Guidry allowed five catches on six targets, they went for a total of just 26 yards. He forced an incompletion on the other target and is on track to earn the game's best coverage grade.
Rookie spotlight: Giants rookie receivers Wan'Dale Robinson and Daniel Bellinger combined for four catches on five targets for 41 yards. Nineteen of Bellinger's 37 yards came after the catch.
Offensive line spotlight: The recently signed Duane Brown looked at home on the left side of the Jets' offensive line. The veteran left tackle earned a 90.0-plus overall grade on first review after surrendering no pressure on 12 pass-blocking snaps and simply dominating the run game (91.6 pending run-blocking grade).
