Daboll has been the Bills’ offensive coordinator since 2018 and was instrumental in quarterback Josh Allen’s development. The Giants hope Daboll can work wonders with 2019 first-round pick Daniel Jones.
Daboll previously worked as Alabama’s offensive coordinator in 2017. He entered the NFL with the New England Patriots and also has had stops with the New York Jets, Cleveland Browns, Miami Dolphins and Kansas City Chiefs. This is Daboll’s first time as a head coach. He’s the Giants’ second straight head coach with ties to the Patriots. Joe Judge, a former Patriots special teams coach, was fired after two seasons in New York.
Daboll also was a candidate with the Miami Dolphins.
