With a monster performance against the San Francisco 49ers on Thursday Night Football, it’s time to acknowledge Davante Adams’ place as the game’s best wide receiver — or at least state his case.
After 196 receiving yards against Houston and then three touchdowns against Minnesota, Adams ran rampant against the 49ers, putting up 10 catches for 173 yards and a score. Despite playing in only six games this season, he ranks fifth in the league in receiving yards (675) and leads the league with eight receiving touchdowns.
Adams will lead the league in overall and receiving PFF grade for the season when the grades from this game are finalized. With a rejuvenated Aaron Rodgers, Adams has been able to put up the kind of production that his route-running prowess has deserved for some time now.
