Las Vegas Raiders waive former first-round safety Johnathan Abram
- The Raiders tried to trade Abram but found no takers, leading to today’s decision to waive him.
- The No. 27 overall pick in the 2019 draft has earned a 49.5 PFF grade this season and recently lost the starting job to veteran Duron Harmon.
- Abram logged over 850 snaps in 2020 and 2021 after missing almost his entire rookie season. His 56.9 grade in 2021 was a career-best by a good margin.
- Abram is now the fourth first-round pick made by Jon Gruden/Mike Mayock to be released by the Raiders in recent months, joining Alex Leatherwood, Henry Ruggs and Damon Arnette.

- Without Watt, the Steelers have struggled to generate pressure and have just eight sacks in the seven games without him. Their 62.7 pass-rushing grade is bottom-five in the league.
- Pittsburgh (+2.5) will host the New Orleans Saints on Sunday.

- The Cowboys are coming off their bye and have a 6-2 record on the season. They discussed acquiring Brandin Cooks before the trade deadline but a deal never came to fruition.

- The Giants, under then-GM Dave Gettleman, signed Golladay to a big four-year, $72 million contract in 2021. He struggled in his first year, catching 37 passes for 521 yards and no touchdowns. He earned a 68.3 PFF grade, the lowest since his rookie season.
