The Las Vegas Raiders added veteran linebacker help Wednesday, acquiring Denzel Perryman in a trade with the Carolina Panthers.
The Panthers, who signed Perryman to a two-year contract worth $6 million with $2.99 million in guarantees this offseason, dealt the 28-year-old linebacker and a seventh-round pick to the Raiders for a sixth-round pick, Carolina announced.

The Raiders worked out free agent linebacker K.J. Wright earlier this month. They’re shallow at the position with Nick Kwiatkoski, Nicholas Morrow and Javin White all dealing with injuries.
Perryman recorded an 83.3 overall PFF grade last season for the Los Angeles Chargers while registering 48 tackles in 13 games with six starts.

He primarily played the Mike/MLB aka “Bobby Wagner” role in Gus Bradley's defense when he was in Los Angeles, and he'll most likely compete for a similar role in Las Vegas.
