Luck's Week 1 status a concern?

  • Currently Indianapolis Colts QB Andrew Luck is on the Physically Unable to Perform list and told reporters today that he is unsure whether he will be able to play week one of the regular season as reported by Dakota Crawford of the IndyStar.
  • Luck was the Colt’s highest graded player (91.6) in 2016, ranking 4th out of 33 quarterbacks with enough qualifying snaps.
  • Luck faced pressure on 44.4% of his dropbacks last season, the most for any quarterback with at least 400 dropbacks.
  • Currently Scott Tolzien is the only backup QB on the Colt’s roster who has played in the regular season, making one start in place of Luck in 2016. He has played 253 snaps during his 6 years in the leagues with only 93 snaps over the past two seasons. Considering the only other quarterbacks on the Colts roster are rookie Phillip Walker and 2nd year player Stephen Morris, the Colts may look to add more depth at the position.
