Player prop bets are a great opportunity to start dabbling in the world of sports betting, especially if you’re someone who has played fantasy football. The transition is relatively easy because unlike picking games, you’re still evaluating individual player performance.
When it comes to player props, determining which bet to make can seem daunting. There are so many things to pick from, so how do you know what bets are good bets? That’s where we’re here to help. Each week, we take the player prop lines from BetMGM and break down the best props on the board. We do so by comparing the line to our projections here at PFF. Bets are listed by quality with five stars as the best bets.
Keep in mind that only playing these bets isn’t a strategy for long-term success. You’ll also need to do some work on your own to identify the best plays of the week. That being said, this list will get you off to a good start.

Last week’s results: 12 wins, 5 losses (70.6%)
Jack Doyle, receiving yards 30.5 (-118) — UNDER ★★★★★
The Colts offense just isn’t the same with Jacoby Brissett under center. Credit where credit is due for his efficient Week 1 performance, but Brissett only targeted Doyle two times. Our numbers have that total up just a tad this week, but Doyle still hitting the under hard.
Justin Jackson, rushing yards 28.5 (-118) — OVER ★★★★★
Remember that 60-40 split between Austin Ekeler and Jackson? Yeah, it didn’t happen in Week 1 with Ekeler dominating the touches in the Chargers’ backfield. That said, Jackson still had a role in early downs and was extremely efficient. Our projections have him crushing the over at 36.7 rushing yards.
