Fantasy football: Week 7 waiver wire pickups and fantasy targets for IDP leagues

There are going to be a few teams in your fantasy football leagues that begin to lose interest at this point in the season, but the teams that are still invested will continue to go hard on those waiver wires.

If we want to stay competitive for a shot at the playoffs, then we need to stay active and make the most of our depth options as the season continues. Key injuries and players returning from injury make for an interesting group of potential pickups as we head into Week 7.

Malik Reed, ED, Denver Broncos

Malik Reed has stepped into a starting role over the past couple of weeks while the Broncos' edge rushers continue to be affected by injuries. Von Miller was lost for the season early on, and they have now been without Jeremiah Attaochu, who was filling in for Miller, for the past few weeks.

Reed ended up having his best game of the season on Sunday against New England, turning 26 pass-rush attempts into four total pressures and two sacks. It’s been a decent workload for Reed since Attaochu has been out, and that should continue into Week 7 because he is expected to continue to miss time.
