Another week of injuries will lead to another week of heavy traffic for fantasy football waiver wires as we head into Week 4 of this 2020 NFL season. Since we’ve lost a few more starting IDPs, it’s crucial to be in the know about who the best replacements will be, whether from their own teams or from around the league. Let’s dive in and fill some IDP roster holes with the best available talent.
DEFENSIVE LINE
Ryan Kerrigan, DE, Washington Football Team
The biggest loss to injury this week from the defensive line comes in the form of Chase Young, who is expected to miss a game or two with an injured groin. With Young down, the Football Team will turn to Ryan Kerrigan to play the majority of snaps in Young’s place on the defensive line. Kerrigan has been used in mostly a part-time role this season, but he saw his weekly snap total almost double this past Sunday because of Young’s injury.
Kerrigan has long been a pass-rush threat in the NFL, with over 100 sacks in his 10-year career — including two in Week 1 against the Eagles. Pass-rush volume will be key for Kerrigan to produce decent sack totals again this year, and with him filling in for Young, it looks likely that he adds to those totals in the coming weeks.
