Ahead of Week 16's Thursday night bout between the Jacksonville Jaguars and New York Jets, here are three players at different salary ranges who I believe will perform well in the DraftKings Showdown contest.
Christian Kirk, Jacksonville Jaguars ($10,200)
Kirk will be the best-suited Jaguars wide receiver for taking advantage of the Jets' defense.
- The Jets have allowed 947 passing yards to wide receivers lined up out wide this season, by far the fewest for a team this season.
- This is in large part due to the great play of Sauce Gardner and D.J. Reed Jr. Both players play exclusively on the outside.
- New York has allowed 1,205 passing yards to receivers lined up in the slot, the eighth most for a team this season.
- Kirk has run 407 routes from the slot this season, the third most for any wide receiver this season.
- Jacksonville is the ninth-most pass-happy team when playing from behind, throwing 69.6% of the time.
- The Jaguars are underdogs for this game, so they should be playing from behind more often than not.
