We are now officially halfway through the final quarter of the 2020 NFL season, meaning just about all of our fantasy football leagues are now in the playoffs — barring any atypical league formats. The waiver wire could not be more important to properly navigate than it is right now. Every game is do-or-die.

After getting a chance to analyze the standout performers, injuries and usage rates, I’ve compiled the most intriguing players to target in your fantasy football league waiver wires ahead of Week 14.

QB Jalen Hurts, Philadelphia Eagles — 3% rostered

The Carson Wentz era may officially be over in Philadelphia — at least in 2020. The Eagles finally pulled Wentz in favor of the rookie Hurts. And while Hurts played only 24 snaps to Wentz’s 35, he won out in fantasy points, scoring 9.26 points compared to Wentz’s 4.96. Hurts managed 109 passing yards and his first passing touchdown, in addition to another 29 yards rushing and one interception.

The quarterback position is typically a deep one that offers many options on the waiver wire, so don’t feel pressed to add Hurts. But, if you’re looking for a player who could provide a spark late in the season and flashed NFL ability in his first action, Hurts is definitely a great option.
