It’s that time of the week again when we scour the waiver wire for the top IDP prospects. We’re in Week 9 and closing in on the fantasy playoffs, so it’s time to make these pickups count.

Defensive linemen

Markus Golden, Arizona Cardinals

After missing the first two games of the season, Golden has played over 30 snaps in each of his last four games, notching two sacks, three hits, and eight hurries. Throw in 15 total tackles over the same span and Golden has scored as a top-five defensive lineman since Week 5.

Marcus Davenport, New Orleans Saints

The Saints rookie has been streaky in his scoring so far this year, but three sacks in his last three games make him an appealing add. The flip side is that he also posted a zero-point return in the middle of that run of three games, so be prepared for some boom-or-bust scoring if you do add him to your roster. It is worth noting the Rams gave up five sacks last week against the Packers, so in what looks like a shootout in Week 9, Davenport will be looking to get one himself.
