Week 8 Fantasy football waiver wire pickups: IDP

CLEVELAND, OH - DECEMBER 24: Joey Bosa #99 of the San Diego Chargers celebrates after a big play during a game against the Cleveland Browns at FirstEnergy Stadium on December 24, 2016 in Cleveland, Ohio. The Browns defeated the Chargers 20-17. (Photo by Wesley Hitt/Getty Images)

It’s that time of the week against when we scour the waiver wire for the top IDP prospects. We’re closing in on the fantasy playoffs so it’s time to make these pickups count for Week 8 of the NFL season.

Defensive linemen

Joey Bosa, Los Angeles Chargers

There are mixed reports out there regarding when Bosa will make his 2018 debut, but Adam Schefter reports he is expected to return against the Seattle in Week 9. Jason La Canfora suggests there is no timetable for his return as of yet, but whichever of the two you choose to believe, there isn’t smoke without fire, so Bosa becomes a stash while the finer details are worked out.

Cameron Wake, Miami Dophins

Wake returned to the field last week after missing Weeks 5 and 6 but failed to register a fantasy score. You’ll need to overlook that, and despite the fact he only has one sack on the year to date, he still ranks as a top-20 edge rusher in our pass rush productivity rankings.
