This is our weekly check on the top waiver-wire adds to make in IDP fantasy football leagues. Week 7 is a crucial time for fantasy, as leagues begin to sort out the contenders from the pretenders. Now is as good a time as any to add players that can help you for that potential playoff run or begin to make up some ground on teams above you in your IDP fantasy league standings.
Going into Week 7, here are 10 IDPs to help your fantasy rosters.
Defensive line
Jarran Reed, DT, Seattle Seahawks
Reed had a breakout 2018 season with 11 sacks and 55 tackles for the Seahawks defense and — before getting a six-gmae suspension in the offseason games for violating the league’s personal conduct policy — was looking like a top-tier DT for IDP fantasy. Reed is eligible to return this week against Baltimore and has a chance to re-establish himself as that top-tier DT. It’s likely that Reed is available in a lot of leagues because of the suspension, so get him now — if he can pick up where he left off in 2018, you have a waiver-wire steal.
Dexter Lawrence, DT, New York Giants
This rookie out of Clemson has been quietly putting up some solid DT numbers for fantasy purposes early this season — so quietly, in fact, that I’ve seen him available in a few re-draft leagues, making him a good option this week if you’re in need of help. Lawrence has even seen his snap count increase significantly over the last two weeks, going from around 30 per game in the first month of the season to 52 and 61 these last two weeks.
