With 11 games to watch over the weekend — 12 if you include Monday — we have a full buffet to feast on for DFS purposes. Most of the action happens Saturday (nine games) before we’re treated to two games Sunday and one Monday.
Some starters have seen extended run in the preaseson Week 2 games already completed, including Russell Wilson, Jameis Winston, Blake Bortles, and more. Will the trend continue this weekend?
Below are some of my top plays for this weekend’s games.
Quarterbacks
Generally speaking, Sean Mannion is not a good quarterback. But he was impressive in preseason Week 1. In fact, he was the NFC West’s top-graded quarterback last week. His 23 aimed pass attempts were tied for fourth-most among all quarterbacks.

Saturday night’s matchup will feature Bears rookie Mitch Trubisky, who impressed in his preseason debut. Trubisky completed 18 of 25 passes for 166 yards and a score. His 25 attempts were tied for fourth-most at the position. He also added three rushes for 38 yards — most among all quarterbacks. He’s a player to target.
Joe Callahan was a preseason stud last year, and while he didn’t rack up a ton of playing time in preseason Week 1 (although 16 pass attempts isn’t bad), he should see plenty of action this week, since his team’s starter — Aaron Rodgers — will no doubt spend most of the game on the bench.
