- Davante Adams will one day be in the Pro Football Hall of Fame: Adams has been the clear best wide receiver over the last five seasons, and he could have more elite seasons left.
- The Las Vegas Raiders quarterback change is a concern: The Raiders' new starting quarterback is Jimmy Garoppolo, giving Adams arguably the worst quarterback situation of the top-10 fantasy wide receivers.
- Jakobi Meyers joins Las Vegas: Meyers gives the Raiders a good No. 2 option, but he’s unlikely to be a threat to Adams’ production.

Davante Adams‘ player outlook
Adams has put together a Hall-of-Fame resume with little sign of slowing down.
- He should surpass 10,000 career receiving yards this season, allowing him to join Lance Alworth, Jerry Rice, Terrell Owens, Marvin Harrison, Randy Moss, Calvin Johnson, Antonio Brown and DeAndre Hopkins as the only wide receivers in NFL history with three or more AP All-Pro first teams and over 10,000 yards.
- He’s been the clear top wide receiver over the last five seasons, including being the best on a per-play basis rather than just accumulating volume stats.
- He ranks first over the last five years in targets per route (0.282), receptions per route (0.196) and touchdowns per route (0.022), leading to 21.3 receiving fantasy points per game, which also ranks first.
- The one area where he didn't rank first is his 2.52 yards per route run, but that still ranks third. His 6,826 receiving yards cumulative still ranks first.
- His numbers took a step back last season due to going from Aaron Rodgers to Derek Carr, but the changes weren’t significant.
- Adams’ touchdowns per route run increased ever so slightly to 0.023, which led wide receivers last season.
- He finished third among wide receivers in fantasy points and second specifically in fantasy points from receiving production (19.7).
- His PFF receiving grade declined ever so slightly to 90.5, which was still the third-best season of his career and second-best among wide receivers last season.
- The only concern about Adams is his age at 30.5 years old. He’s well past the time when wide receivers begin their decline.
- He has more wear and tear than a typical player at his age. His 769 career receptions are 39th all-time and third-most among players currently on a team.
