Player prop bets are a great opportunity to start dabbling in the world of sports betting, especially if you’re someone who has played fantasy football. The transition is relatively easy because unlike picking games, you’re still evaluating individual player performance.
When it comes to player props, determining which bet to make can seem daunting. There are so many things to pick from, so how do you know what bets are good bets? That’s where we’re here to help. Each week, we take the player prop lines from BetMGM and break down the best props on the board. We do so by comparing the line to our projections here at PFF. Bets are listed by quality with five stars as the best bets.
Keep in mind that only playing these bets isn’t a strategy for long-term success. You’ll also need to do some work on your own to identify the best plays of the week. That said, this list will get you off to a good start.

2019 results: 65 wins, 52 losses (55.6%)
Dalvin Cook, Receiving Yards 18.5 (-118) — OVER ★★★★★
This is the top wager on the board for the early slate in Week 7. Cook topped this line in each of the last four games prior to last week. He wasn’t used much in the passing game last week and posted just two catches for 13 yards. But that was in a game where the Vikings didn’t need to lean on him.
Devonta Freeman, Receiving Yards 27.5 (-118) — UNDER ★★★★★
Freeman’s usage in the passing game has given him fantasy relevance over the last month, but this is a healthy line. Our numbers have Freeman coming in at 3.6 catches for 25.5 receiving yards, so we’re going to hammer this under.
